Hello All, and Happy New Year!

I hope these first couple of weeks have you on track for any goals you’ve set. For me, the goal is simple: keep writing like crazy!

For this coming year, I wanted to announce what new books will be released. There will be three (and a half!) books for The Gifted Series. How do we get half a book? It will be a special bonus novella attached to the end of book 7, that’s how! Here’s when they’ll be available:

-The Trial by Peers program Parker is involved in is based on a real program in Clark County, Nevada.
-Each novel covers a month of Parker’s life. Dubious Endeavors, the first novella, covers a weekend.

Wakening: Book 3 of the Mirror Trilogy

Who’s excited for the conclusion to The Mirror Trilogy?

In writing about Mia, Selena, and Donovan, I found I had to step way out of my proverbial comfort zone. Mia is a headstrong workaholic suffering from chronic insomnia, with a strict sense of right and wrong. Selena operates in the shadows, with Donovan at her right hand.

When Mia discovers her striking likeness to the infamous criminal, she goes undercover in order to unravel their business from the inside. What she didn’t count on was falling for Donovan.

Spending so much time with the dark, dangerous man, Mia finds an entirely different side to Donovan’s personality. Not only is he a cunning businessman, but he’s also a thoughtful and caring partner to Selena.

After giving in to the strange needs Donovan awakens, Mia’s life spirals out of control as she’s forced to face hard truths. Can Mia continue to give orders as the ruthless Selena when her dark past comes to light?

The second of the trilogy left us with a bit of a cliffhanger as a stunning truth was revealed. Mia will be grappling with that revelation in the beginning of the third book, but there’s still more surprises to come. Hi all! I hope those of you in America had a lovely Independence Day, filled with friends, family, and explosives!

Today I was going to talk about the next upcoming release, the conclusion to the Mirror Trilogy, Wakening. And while I’ll give you the full lowdown and backstory on Mia, Selena, and Donovan soon, my brain has been overtaken by a different project recently.

As most of you know, the next mated pair in the Gifted Series is Lani (whom we met in Allure of Home) and Samson, and I’m loving their story so far. Lani has traveled to the southwest, where she comes across a whole slew of Gifted- otherwise known as Samson’s family. It’s been fun for me to write about another big family, like Jade’s, except this time we see it from the outsider’s point of view.

I’ve done a ton of research into the history and traditions of the Apache people, a group I highly respect. And while I did my best to stay true to their stories and beliefs, I’ve also added my own personal, magical twist that I hope you all enjoy.

Reservation will be released in March, 2019 and will be the fifth book of the Gifted Series.

Parker was the first story I decided to publish, and boy was that terrifying! For any of you creatives out there, do you feel the same when sharing your work? But, I’m so glad I did. Not only do I thoroughly enjoy bringing all the voices in my head to life, I breathed a little easier when my family and friends still talked to me after reading them!

Abstraction had been in the works for a long time before I finally bit the bullet, and as anyone that knows me can tell you, Parker is loosely based on me. Maybe that was a big reason I was so scared about sharing her with the world? Besides the thieving, I was just about as busy as Parker always is when I was her age, having done the same clubs and programs I write about with her.

That included the Trial by Peers program, yearbook class, Key Club, working at a law firm, and even the martial arts classes. As a kid, I devoured stories like Nancy Drew and Harriet the Spy. As an adult, I love watching modern-day takes on Robin Hood. Between these things, Parker Grey was born.

Of course, I never took down drug lords, a mayoral candidate, or tracked down kidnappers… but it’s never too late, right? 😉

The release of Dubious Endeavors; A Parker Grey Novella is next week!

This book will be a little different than the first four Parker Grey’s, since she is flying to Boston to spend Labor Day weekend with her brother. She meets a group of new friends (and a new love interest?) but that doesn’t stop her from getting into trouble.

A girl gets kidnapped, and Parker’s on the clock…

This was originally supposed to be just a little teaser book, to hold Parker fans over until the release of Exposed: A Parker Grey Novel in December. But, as the characters came alive, I had a hard time saying goodbye! Though it’s still an easy, fun read, Dubious Endeavors is no shorter than the last few Parker Grey stories.

And if you love the new characters as much as I do, not to worry- they’ll be back.

Allure of Home was started when I first moved to Wisconsin several years ago. Like Jade, I went from being a loner to suddenly surrounded by family at every turn- and though I didn’t find a man like Talon wandering shirtless through the trees, staring into the deep woods through my window certainly made me believe I could!

What most people don’t know, is that Allure of Home was not the intended first book of the Gifted Series. In fact, many years prior to discovering Jade and Talon, I wrote about Jinx- the little girl that is briefly introduced in Immaculate.

I realized Jinx’s story wasn’t quite ready to be told and decided to include her as a child in the second book of the series. Don’t worry, her story is waiting in the wings- as are so many of the other characters you’ve already met.

From Allure of Home, we’ll be seeing Lani (soon, in Reservation: Book 5 of The Gifted Series), Frances (he’ll be hanging out with Lani, but his story is yet to come…), and, of course, we met Kate briefly at the family picnic.

From Immaculate, we’ll get to know Jared, Jace, Aden, and, as I mentioned before, Jinx (along with her sister, Desi) much better. Remember Malakai Scott, the lawyer who helped Reya’s parents, and later officiated Reya and Tristan’s wedding? We got a little taste of his backstory, which I’m excited to dive into, and he’ll be back, along with his wife and children.

In Night Shift, we had a little reunion with Jade, Talon, and Pearl, plus we got to know Kate and Hugh, which flowed right into her book, Stowaway.

Stowaway exploded with new characters, all of which have their own story to tell. Namely, Lucius, Silas, Augustus, and Zane- but the rest of the saved shadowmen will be introduced soon! Not to mention the daemons- they can’t all possibly be evil, can they?
