A woman with a restless soul and a gypsy's spirit.
I write in both English and Arabic, and I translate my own work as well as that of others.
I have published numerous short stories across various literary publications and websites in the Middle East, UK and USA. These includes Al Adab magazine of Lebanon, Akhbar Al Adab of Cairo, Al Bayan of UAE, Al Quds Al Arabi of London, Al Quds of Jerusalem, Banipal of London.
I have published two collections of short stories in Arabic, both by Dar Sharqiyat of Cairo (The Scent of Cardamom رائحة حب الهال 2005 and Paradise No More لحظة الخروج من الجنة 2011).
I have translated two books: The Scents of Marie-Claire روائح ماري كلير by Tunisian author Hebib Selmi (AUC Cairo 2010) and Tomorrow I'll Sew My Mout ...more

A moving story which I enjoyed a lot. Interesting that Sartre told her this was not something that she should publish - not good enough. And she listened to him!
