I’m pretty wild about this book. All the hype around this author is well deserved. This was a well thought out and there were several beautiful passages that lived rent free in my head for days. I love flawed characters, especially when they are able to self-reflect. And Mark Trevena…baby!!! This man left me breathless. Who doesn’t love a fictional dominant male who knows what he wants and takes it whenever he wants it?

Salt Kiss is the second book in the Lyonesse series. This is book is mostly an MM BDSM romance. Later there is an MF romance but that is a small portion of the book.

I read along with the audiobook (my preferred method). The narrator Oscar Reyes was amazing. His performance was top notch. I would strongly recommend listening to the audio. I would also recommend the book. The cover is so pretty. I flagged so many pages! Beware, this book ends on a cliffhanger. The 3rd book in the series is scheduled to release later this year.

If you like kinky MM romances, Salt Kiss doesn’t disappoint.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I’m absolutely obsessed with Kenya Wright. This woman can make me buy anything. She’s such an amazing author and this story is no exception to her brilliance.

Mobsters & Mistletoe is about Dante, a mafia enforcer who is out for revenge. I won’t give too much away, because I believe his journey his very interesting. And hilarious. The idea that these tough mobsters are constantly plotting to get their hands on a popular children’s toy around Christmas time (named Foxy Cherry) is hilarious. I giggled way too much. But that is the awesomeness that is Kenya Wright. She can balance action, humor, introspection and steamy scenes so effortlessly, it’s really amazing.

It’s always a treat to read Kenya’s work. Highly recommend. Check her out. 

The best way for me to get into the writing mindset is through music. I created a playlist in my iTunes library titled, of course, Club Babylon. I listened to these songs repeatedly while I was writing certain scenes. Author Tiffany Reisz and myself recently participated in a USA Today interview. As romance authors, we were asked to discuss our thoughts regarding diversity within the romance genre. As many of you know, I am pretty passionate about how  the topic of race is presented in fiction.

As an author, I try my hardest to present stories that dig deeper than surface level conflict. Focusing on the obvious is too easy. Delving into the more intricate issues (such as upbringing, social status, morals, etc) are far more interesting to me.

Perfection! Simply perfection!!!. This is exactly what the author said it would be….cover to cover filth. Thank goodness! I loved this book. I left a 5 star review on Amazon. I could not put this book down. 

If you enjoy day romance, erotica, BDSM, MFM, MMMMMFM (yeah, you read that right), this book is you book. Jade Black does not hold back. I read this book around Christmas 2023 and I could not put it down. I think I re-read every scene twice. I like a lot of smut, so if too much smut isn’t your thing…beware. But if your’e like me and spicy books are your jam….here you go. You’re welcome! See below if want my thoughts. There are spoilers, so you have been warned.

I loved that we get straight to the story. No long monologues about morals. I love that she kicked her ex to the curb and didn’t look back. I loved that she kept pushing her boundaries. I love that the author didn’t delve into the scary/horror stories that can happen to sex workers. No long winded discussions about protection or pregnancy scares. This was just filthy, low drama, and sooo dirty. You can just enjoy the ride. Only Jade West could have written a story like this and for that I am eternally grateful. 

Jade West clearly has the makings of a series on her hands. So here is what I want…..

I want a book about Ella and Josh. How does their relationship work? Is their jealousy or friendly competition? I want Ella to finally become apart of the hardcorers. I want Ella to maintain some regulars. We must have Daddy return! The male couple she got along with (can’t remember their names). And period play… yes please! I want to see her relationship with Josh unfold (from nervous strangers to intense lovers). I want to know Josh’s kinks. I want Josh to ask her to move in with him and for her to tell him she’ll think about it. I want to see them give each other aftercare after a hard night’s work. I want Ella to meet Josh’s mom. I want Josh to fly to Australia to meet her parents. I want duel POV. I want to know how Josh handles his proposals. I want all the MM details! I want all the bi details. I want them to hang out with their friends (Ebony and Tiff/Creamgirl). I want Ella and Tiff to do a proposal together. I want to know if Josh would want to do a proposal with Ella (like an orgy). I DO NOT want them to have any deep soul searching relationship drama. Just wonder if the other person is ready to take the next step. I want it to end with Ella moving in with Josh and her parents coming to visit. 

And lastly, I want the book to be titled “Naughty Together”.

Of course, I want books about Ebony and Tiff. I want to know how Eb balances marriage and mom life. And I want Tiff to find love in the most unexpected place (MFM or MMMF). 

I’m a big fan of Phillipa Gregory’s writing. I typically enjoy historical romances, but Gregory has expanded my horizons. I’m a junkie for novels about the England’s royal families. The malice
and constant politics is very interesting. So far, Gregory is the only author I’ve found who satisfies my intrigue. I’ll let you know what I think as soon as I finish the novel.

So this is what’s consuming my week. Insta love rom-com by Tessa Bailey. This should be fun.

This is the 5th book in the Mafia Kings series by Mila Finelli. All the best tropes: Mafia Princess, forced proximity, fake marriage, breeding kink. I loved it.

I read along with the audiobook (my preferred method). I would strongly recommend listening to the audio. The narrators do a great job but Antonio Amato is the star for me. His voice is like rich milk chocolate. I am absolutely obsessed with this voice.

If you like breeding kink romances, you will not be disappointed with this one. Enjoy
