For Readers

The nicest thing you can do for an author is to leave a review on Goodreads and anywhere else you can, especially Amazon. They have algorithms that keep your book in sight depending on how many reviews. Pass that along to all your reader friends who have read a book they like or an author they like. Help keep their book out there and alive.

At Long Last

At long last, SPIRIT OF THE TURTLE WOMAN, the 5th in the Edge of the New World series, has be reissued in paperback. Some of us still like to hold a book in our hands.
This is a special book for me. It was a painful struggle to finish. I lost both my parents while writing it. The book is dedicated to them. I didn't have sufficient words to express my deep grief. So the dedication is simple, but filled with emotion. Sometimes less is more. Lynn.

Benefits of writing

“From the early formation of letters to crafting an essay, writing involves perhaps more subskills than any other academic task. To write well requires combining multiple physical and mental processes in one concerted effort to convey information and ideas. We must, for instance, be able to move a pen, or depress a key, precisely and fluidly to render letters, remember rules of grammar and syntax, place our thoughts in an order that makes sense, and think ahead to what we want to write next.
This combination of tasks makes writing the highest form and most complex use of language.”
I'm paraphrasing: "Writing is the most complex orchestra a kid will ever have to conduct."
