Uncork the champagne!
Broken Promises, fourth in the DCI Gerald Croft Crime Thrillers, is published.
Political pledges – inheritance expectations – marriage vows… Broken promises can end in loss of power, disappointment, and divorce, or assassination and serial killing.
In Garton Borough, London, promises are like pie crusts, made to be broken, and DCI Croft is left to sweep up the toxic crumbs. Duty rocks his marriage and endangers his life.

BROKEN PROMISES
Broken Promises, coming in late spring, will be the fourth DCI Gerald Croft Crime Thriller. The theme concentrates on many different aspects and their consequences.
How sacred is a marriage vow? Should political manifestos be honoured?
We all know the obvious answers: couples divorce, members of parliament "change their minds." But what happens when greed, spite, and OTT reactions take control?
Add Broken Promises to your TBR list and grab it when it appears. The introductory price of 99 cents won't last. How can it when I donate my royalties to charity? It's a boost to launch the book and reviews would be very much appreciated... by me and the animals worldwide I do my best to help.

Broken Promises
Solemn vows - casual "okay"... All of them are promises, but how many lead to murder if they're broken?
25% into my fourth DCI Gerald Croft thriller many already have, but there's an assassination attempt to come.
Look out for it in the autumn/fall. I'd love to know what you think when you've read it, so please leave a review.

DCI Croft's Third Thriller
Cruel Duplicity has bodies galore, a politician who might not be what he seems, a kidnapped woman missing after four years, possibly corrupt police, and Gerald's homelife is under threat!

Cruel Duplicity
Thriller number three in the DCI Gerald Croft series is in the final stages of editing before its release. As before, plotting has involved a great deal of research, and my thanks are due to friends all over the world who use their expertise to answer my questions.
The main thread is kidnap, but Derrick is truly evil and manipulative, as opposed to gentle Hector in Deadly Envy, a crook who intended to help his suicidal sister, but meant his victims no harm.
If you have yet to meet DCI Croft, why not start with Shattered Lives and Deadly Envy? Both are free to borrow with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. Honest reviews are always welcome.

Deadly Envy
I hadn't realised until I began to explore the subject just how deadly people can be if they feel envy. Basically, they want something they see others have, Some will work to attain it, but others turn to crime.
In Deadly Envy, Hector takes a step beyond helping his suicidal sister, Janet rids herself of the man standing between her and riches, and Thomas makes a discovery about his wife that fuels murderous jealousy.
Even DCI Gerald Croft is not immune. He returns from a week in Spain, knowing the man who has been in charge of the borough in his absence has a bigger house... HE is pulled up short when young Hal, the twin who wants to "be a detective like Dad", discovers they've had burglars!

Shattered Lives!
Shattered Lives is the first DCI Gerald Croft Thriller. It's taken a year in the writing because I was tackling a new genre, but I'm already two chapters into Deadly Envy, and enjoying placing yet more crimes in the DCI's path.

A Change of Genre
All my romantic suspense novels contains an element of crime, so, with the encouragement and generous help of John Nicholl (The Sisterhood - The Girl in Red) I decided to experiment.
The first draft of Shattered Lives: A DCI Gerald Croft Crime Thriller is half finished. I proposed to introduce him, and his hunt for a serial killer, in January 2021 but illness stopped that plan. Summer, or even a fall, release is more likely.
BUT, be sure not to miss the launch, before price rises, unless you have Kindle Unlimited and can read all my books for free,

SIZZLING SUNSET
Sizzling Sunset, exclusive to Royal Command Family Saga readers, was great fun to write and very satisfying. I've always preferred reading books in a series that don't end with a cliffhanger, so I wrote the four books that comprise the saga as Standalone novels. To achieve this, and for each to have a happy ending, I left a few minor "loose ends", like how did Greta's life pan out after the trauma of being kidnapped. Her dramatic rescue wouldn't have been the end of it; she must have had nightmares at the very least. All that, and more, turned what began as a short story into a novella with drama to match the rest of the series. I hope all my readers enjoy it, and new ones appreciate getting the complete saga in one volume.
