than the old woman who lived in a shoe, but she treats them better. She wrote Where the Crops Never Fail to help young readers know they can handle all storms of life with a Bible and a good umbrella. Amanda, her husband, and their two children call Pulaski, Virginia—the heart of the New River Valley—home.
