In combat scenes, the artist also substitutes sprays of black Night Lander goop for red blood, rendering swordfights somewhat less gory. To the pleasure of returning fans (and comics readers in general), Jack and his fantastically rubbery-blue friend Allegra step in to help, and in a Marvel Universe–style twist, a conflicted older retainer nursing a devastating secret later plays a crucial role. Happily, for those readers who aren’t fans of never-ending plotlines, this volume offers enough of a resolution to work as a stand-alone.

These are all the books I read in 2022. I hit a new record. (52 books!)

My absolute favorite was HEAT 2 by Michael Mann & Meg Gardiner. If you’re a fan of the epic 1995 film, you have to read it. HEAT 2 was a Godfather Part II quality sequel.

Having just watched The Book of Boba Fett, I felt compelled to draw The Mandalorian.

You gotta love this. Years ago, I drew the hospital where my kids were born, and my oldest son, who was 3 at the time, colored it in for me. He also drew in me and his mom headed inside the building (which I had forgotten to include). I have to say, I like it better with his finishing touches added in!

Here’s what I read in 2021. Nearly got through everything on my TBR pile! A lot of non-fiction this year, which is unusual for me. Did you read any of these?

Not really a cover “reveal” because the cover is already on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and everywhere else, but it’s still exciting! I can’t wait for this book to come out… my secret plan to combine the Order of the Majestic-verse with the Jack Blank-verse is finally coming to fruition! **maniacal laugh** LOOK FOR IT ON 8/3/21!
