Erica Lee Cooke grew up in the small town of Bridgeport, TX. As the oldest sibling of six, she became a great storyteller and as her imagination grew, she began to put on plays with her brothers, sisters, and various cousins as cast members. With few quiet moments at home, she did not truly begin to discover her love of reading until school, but once she did there was no stopping her. Soon reading stories was not enough, so she started putting pen to paper and wrote her very first book at the age of nine. Although it was never published, she proudly paraded it for all of her family and friends to read. She attributes her story ideas to her extremely vivid dreams.
