I always say that the book I'm writing at the moment is my favorite. Right now, that's SPIRIT SLEUTHS: How a Magician and a Detective Exposed the Ghost Hoaxes (tentative title; due out fall 2024). The most interesting book to research was SPOOKED because I read about 2000 telegrams and letters written in 1938. It was fun and eye-opening to see the differences and similarities between then and now. It's always a thrill to hold an old document and imagine its creator writing the words .(less)
