MY NEW BASEBALL BOOK
My latest book is out now:
1960: WHEN THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES HAD THEM ALL THE WAY
GO TO SUNBURYPRESS.COM OR AMAZON
This book takes an in depth look at the 1960 World
Champion Pittsburgh Pirates, featuring Roberto
Clemente, MVP Dick Groat, Cy Young winner Vern
Law, top closer Roy Face and many more. My high
school classmate Ken Griffey Sr. said the book
"captures what the Pirates were all about, making this
an enjoyable book that baseball fans will like." And
Vern Law endorsed it: "Through exclusive interviews
with players and deep research, this book cover it all--
from the preseason through the glory of winning it all.
It's a must read for every baseball fan.”

3 New Baseball Books for 2020
Baseball season may be on hold as of this early April writing, but I have three books out to tide fans over: 1960: When the Pittsburgh Pirates Had Them All the Way is available only on Amazon and it explores the wildest, most lopsided World Series ever--plus the people and events leading up to it.
Wits, Flakes, and Clowns is, I truly believe, the funniest book on baseball's colorful characters ever. I say that because I researched it for around 25 years and during that time, I conducted exclusive interviews with tons of players, coaches, managers, etc. (about 150 in all) to collect funny stories and I mixed that in with the best stories/anecdotes/quotes from the scores of books I've read by other writers. The result: 135 colorful characters and their funny quotes, pranks, and antics.
Finally, the second, updated edition of Name That Ballplayer is out. It presents three tiers of clues to readers, challenging them to identify ballplayers from different eras. It's a fun and informative book.

My Latest Books Now Out
My book on the Greatest Coaches and Games of the NFL Glory Years (50s and 60s) is available now. Here's a link which will tell you more information (click on "Read More" for full details on that page).
https://www.amazon.com/Remembering-Gr...
Also, another link for more info on my books: https://waynestewartonsports.blog
I was lucky enough to get NFL greats like Raymond Berry, Mike Ditka, and Tom Matte to write a book jacket blurb for this one, and fortunate enough to get a bunch of Hall of Famers to grant me interviews for the book--men like Paul Warfield, Mel Renfro, Gino Marchetti, Floyd Little, Don Maynard, Dave Robinson, as well as Berry, Ditka, Matte and other men who were either Hall of Famers or big name players. They all had great stories to share so I hope sports fans will enjoy this book (and its companion book, Remembering the Stars of the NFL Glory Years).
