WHERE DRAGON IN THE POST IS AT
Superb, the crowd funding project for DCD’s fairy tale Dragon In The Post just crossed 70% funded, with nineteen days to go. It ends on August 27th. We will do this, with a bit of work, but now we need to spread the word far and wide and get more and more backers on board and a growing constituency for a novel and little publisher too. The point is it is not just about the money, but talking through the internet, fighting back, connecting and not only opening a door on a whole little indie publisher, Phoenix Ark Press, but testing the idea that in future, if we work together, books by other artists and writers might be quality controlled and cross supported too in their own crowd funded projects and a form of pre-sales or ‘paying it forward’.
If ‘mainstream media’ like the humdrum Hampshire Chronicle has not only ignored us, but let it down, we will see what a little ad in Private Eye can do, but we will effectively have done it alone. Now though is no time for complacency but the last big push to a finishing line to make that little Dragon fly! So a brand new film has just gone up on Indiegogo, where David both reads and talks from the heart about the project. Hope you enjoy it. The project text has also been radically changed, while the special highlighted perk now is just buying the book. The count down is really on then, so courage Dragons and let’s do remarkable things together! Thank you.

NEW DEADLINE BUT DRAGON IN THE POST STARTS TO SOAR!

just to say how wonderfully the crowd funded book Dragon In The Post is doing, now at 65% and with 32 days to go, since the deadline was extended to August 27th.

THE DRAGON RETURNS WITH INDIEGOGO
Hi,
well, after building the page 'Stories In The Post - The Dragon Tries Again' on Facebook we've just launched the new crowd funded campaign at Indiegogo rather than Kickstarter and already topped £1200. It also means funds can be drawn even if we don't hit the lower target of £4500, though I have put in my own Opt Out clause. I will be republishing Firebringer during the campaign.
It would be wonderful if you'd help it fly by contributing then, or if you can't afford to just spread the word to help open a door on that and a model for future crowd funding a little publisher, Phoeni Ark Press. THE DRAGON HITS 30% AND PHOENIX OPENS THE DOORS

thank you for the new friends and just to say the Kickstarter Project on Dragon In The Post as just reached 30%. It has 23 days to go now though, so we're a week in, and the pace really needs upping, if we're to make it!
So it would be wonderful if you might watch a little film, or several, and think about spreading the word or supporting at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...
But, inspired by fans and grass roots support, I am also opening the creative doors at little Phoenix Ark Press too, that might involve your own work too. You can see that at http://phoenixarkpress.com/

COME TO A FACEBOOK PARTY, TONIGHT, 6PM LONDON TIME

But come along on Facebook tonight, at David Clement-Davies and we'll see if we can really do something new, push through the mindless elements of Facebook and other Social Media and create a grass roots, word of mouth publisher, at Phoenix Ark Press. "Join the Story, become part of the adventure." The lesson of the world is especially teenage word of mouth support can put a create deal of power in 'followed hands' and if we can somehow achieve that, it could be used to generate many brilliant projects, for younger and older readers.
Bring some wine, a cup of tea, your favourite book and let's just have some fun.

THE DRAGON FLIES BUT NEEDS SOME FIRE

Dragon in the Post climbed to 24% on day one and into the most popular ranks at Kickstarter too, but now we really need to catch fire and fly!

THE DRAGON LAUNCHES!
Well, happy Shakespeare's birthday, today April 23rd, St George's day and the launch of my new book Dragon In The Post but also a much wider 'grass roots' publishing project! COME TO AN EVENT
COME TO A PARTY AND A PUBLISHING CONVERSATION!
I am afraid there are no nibbles or delicious cocktails available but you are all most cordially invited to a Facebook Event, next Saturday April 26th at 6pm London Time. (Facebook has my setting at UTC+1 for some reason, so watch those timings and sorry to make you calculate the Time difference). Please send me a Friend Request there under my name David Clement-Davies too, though now the event is public and I think it will last about an hour and a half.
It’s the first event I’ve ever done and 10 are coming already, since I launched last night, so I hope to have 70 people by next weekend. It is firstly to celebrate the launch of Dragon In The Post next Wednesday but also to discuss the wider issues of a Publishing Adventure and trying to break through as a grass roots publisher at Phoenix Ark Press, as you will see in a film. So we can talk my books and stories, this new project but also the possibility of involvement for readers, writers, editors and illustrators.
Come ready to be contentious too, if you like, and question if what I am aiming at can even be done! Criticism is as valuable as anything else, but whatever issue comes up I hope we can knock around ideas about a project, Kickstarter, publishing, art, writing, the problems of the Internet and Crowd Funding too. So it will have some use and inspiration for you. Love to see you all ‘there’ in Cyberspace and one day perhaps we’ll meet at a London launch party too.
