Chapters
Elizabeth and I are several chapters into the sequel. We are still planning on a launch within the first two weeks of October.
We had a bit of rain here yesterday and the mountains were quiet. Though the Appalachians are quite old, there is still something about them that feels unexplored. Something secret that has whispered to me from my earliest memories. For there is an entire adventure that begins one step from your front door.

A love letter
A short story, a poem...and a love letter. That is how our book began. In late October of last year I wrote a short story for Elizabeth. When she read it she was overcome by the nature of it. Bearing only a passing semblance to the book, it harkens back to stories I often enjoyed when I was younger. She wanted it bound. Not for public consumption but rather for the two of us to always have in our keeping.
A few weeks later I began to write a supernatural love story. I based it around our actual life, employing our names and those of people we knew. After finishing the 1st Chapter, I was up late one night as I often am for I sleep very little. In those quiet hours, the poem, The Witch That Called The Wolf, found in the first part of the book (and can be read on Amazon with the Kindle sample) came to me in its entirety. It does indeed describe the two of us and our odd life. As I read it to her the next evening, it was obvious the words and the nature of it cut to her heart. Elizabeth told me the poem would make a wonderful story. So in early November I began to write a love letter to her in the form of a book. Our just published book. I gave her pieces as it was completed and she was captivated.
By the second Chapter, she began to make wonderful suggestions. We were using a great many actual events, locations, and personal conversations along with interactions so having her side of it was invaluable. As the book progressed she began to work more closely writing prologues and such as well has handling a lot of the editing.
She is quite simply the gravity well in the center of my world and it isn't just the book that would not have happened without her. It is my life. I would have long ago disappeared were it not for her strength, her willpower, and her unbreakable love. I hope anyone that reads the book is able to catch a glimpse of the woman I know and who means more to me than my own life.
