The more I read, the more I want to write. The more I write, the more I look for prompts and ideas out in the world. If you are interested in joining me, or want to start a journaling or poem writing process, I invite you to write with me! I will be posting prompts here and on my website:
www.ellenhagan.com to get your mind moving. I always tell my students there is no wrong way to begin. You just keep your pen / pencil on the page.
As for this prompt, I live in New York City and was taking the A train home from 190th street last week and the train is built into the side of a massive sheet of bedrock. Wild, fascinating and beautiful to see. It made me think of bedrock as a whole and what sustains and holds us in the midst of chaos and confusion. I thought of the questions below.
What is at the root of who you are? If you subscribe to an idea of core values, what are yours? What is your philosophy of life? What do you cling / hold tight to in order to thrive?
Write, share, keep to yourself, publish - whatever makes you feel most alive.
