Simone Lenaerts, Antwerpen 1947, was onderwijzeres en bezocht als moreel consulent jarenlang diverse strafinrichtingen.
Zij is nauw betrokken bij de activiteiten en de tentoonstellingen van haar man, beeldend kunstenaar en dichter Jan Vanriet.
Voor de BBL-galerie te Antwerpen organiseerde zij markante exposities van Breyten Breytenbach, E.L.T.Mesens, René Magritte, Marcel Broothaers, Peter Klasen, Oswaldo Romberg, Denis de Rudder, e.a.

Met Gerdi Esch en Agnes Goyvaerts publiceerde zij het boek ‘Mode in de lage landen, België’ (uitgeverij Cantecleer / Houtekiet), waarvoor zij de historische bijdrage leverde.
In opdracht van regisseur Walter Tillemans vertaalde zij het toneelstuk ‘Teibele en haar Demon’ (uitgeverij Dedalus) van I.B.Singer, dat ...more
