In a Stranger's Arms by Deborah Hale

FREE BOOK!!! In A Stranger’s Arms by Deborah Hale - Previously published as Carpetbagger’s Wife.

“… emotional richness and depth readers will savor.” John Charles, Booklist

“…yet another masterpiece penned by the historical mistress of romance. Don't miss this truly touching and tender story." - The Old Book Barn Gazette

Wed to the Enemy! The War left Caddie Marsh a widow with only a rundown plantation, her children and Southern pride to sustain her. She would do anything to salvage Sabbath Hollow for the sake of her son and daughter, even wed one of the Yankees against whom she’s so bitter. The fact that Manning Forbes bears a disturbing resemblance to her late husband only makes matters worse. It would be easier if her new husband's integrity and kindness didn't stir up feelings he claims not to want from her…

Sworn to Protect… Manning Forbes has his own reasons for wanting to protect and provide for the Marsh family. Reasons he is desperate to keep from Caddie. If his beautiful, inquisitive bride discovers his true identity, Manning fears he would lose the family who has captured his heavily-guarded heart!

How about a not-just-for-Christmas type gift?

If you're looking for a great, quick read, check out Georgina Devon's "The Christmas Gift". I'm a huge sucker for reunion romances and this one was good - enough alpha male to keep me reading, and enough spicy to make the chase worthwhile!

The Christmas Gift - a Regency Novella

It's a run read, not just for Christmas!

First Books...

As an author, I can't think of anything more exciting than that first book.

Tomorrow, a fellow author and friend, Jenna Rutland will experience that thrill. KUDOS Jenna.

I'm looking forward to seeing this story in it's final form. I've loved Matt and Dani's story from the beginning and I know how hard Jenna's worked on it.

So, if you're looking for a break from the winter blah's, JUST FOR THE SUMMER (Lake Bliss) will give you the escape you crave.

Check out at Amazon.

Some News and Reviews for Dragon's Curse

To my shock and delight natch, Dragon's Curse was released as an audio book. It's strange having someone read the book to me. I'd had these characters' voices in my head for so long, that it's...different to hear another person's voice. Check it out at:
Audible

And yup, yup, yup, I know reviews aren't everyone's cuppa, but it makes me happy as all get out when readers "get it". LOL -- what can I say?

From CataRomance:

...Denise Lynn fascinates with creativity. The premise behind her story about wizards and dragons is original, and the happenings are imaginative with inventiveness. There are quite a few scenes all through the book that will surprise the reader with startling discoveries, and several of the disclosures are much unexpected. Before all is concluded, I was caught off guard a number of times and the reasons are all very skillfully entwined into the plot. Ms. Lynn expertly makes her paranormal stories noteworthy, and DRAGON’S CURSE continuously kept my attention...

RT review:

DRAGON’S CURSE (4) by Denise Lynn: Desperate to save her injured younger brother Carl from the evil sorcerer holding him captive, Ariel Johnson agrees to go undercover as a landscape architect at Cameron Drake’s Appalachian resort, even though she’s already been terrified by a dragon at one of the owner’s other properties. Even while frantic over her brother, she’s drawn to the irresistible Cam — both while awake and in her dreams. But when she finds out Cam is the dragon and his beast finds its mate in Ariel, she’s forced to confront her own inner powers. The constant danger and burning attraction between Ariel and Cam add excitement, and an original, action-packed plot make for a must-read.

Re-releases and New ones, too

Harlequin has started to release my Falcons in digital format. In reverse order of course...(shrug).

Falcon's Heart was released 12/2011
Falcon's Love was released 02/2012
Falcon's Honor will be released 03/2012

No word on Falcon's Desire, yet. But my fingers are crossed.

Dragon's Curse -- Nocturne, will be a July 2012 release. This one is Cam's story -- where Braeden was the Dragon Lord, Cameron is a dragon.

Hope everyone has been enjoying some wonderful reads -- I've finally been tackling my towering TBR pile.

Take care,

Denise Lynn

Happy Holidays!!!!

To celebrate the holidays, twenty-two Harlequin Historical Authors have teamed up to create an online Advent Calendar. You can find the active calendar here, as well as on the other individual author sites.

Each day, click on the calendar to visit the host author's website, and you can win prizes such as signed books, gift certificates, and holiday goodies. You will be asked to complete a task, such as posting a blog comment, searching for a hidden ornament, or answering a question about an excerpt.

Please check the author's web page for your instructions and to see what the daily prize is. You can enter once each day, at each of the twenty-two websites. The more sites you visit, the better your chances to win!

On December 23rd, a random drawing from among all 22 authors' entries will determine the grand prize winner of a Kindle 3-G. Please see the official eligibility rules for this giveaway.

My day is December 22nd - so be sure to stop by by website then to find out how to participate in my "hunt". It'll be something simple, I promise.

Until then - take care!
