Well, my blog got eaten up again. This time because my previous web host locked me out of my account. Apparently I owed them $7.00. Yep, that’s right! Seven measly dollars. Anyhow, because they locked me out, they held my stored files hostage too.

I haven’t been happy with this company for a while, so I already switched Sidney Ayers’ site to a different provider. Let’s just say calling customer service for help only to have to find your own answer on your own using  Google is unacceptable in my eyes. This last situation was the icing on the cake, so I decided to switch this domain over as well. And it’ll be a whole lot cheaper as well.

Cheaper with better service. You really can’t go wrong.

I added blurbs to the next two installments to the Fey Chronicle books. I am under current deadlines for my Sidney Ayers projects, so those take priority right now. I’ve also got another paranormal/fantasy historical project I’m planning on concentrating on as well. Again, the contracted stuff takes precedence, though.

The books page has info on the Fey Chronicle series. Feel free to read and offer your opinions and suggestions. The books are still in the brainstorming process.

I tried updating to the new version of WordPress and it told me I needed to upgrade to MySQL 5.0. I thought I was already on 5.0, but that’s moot now. I went in, set up  5.0 and then got a lovely error that my SQL server wasn’t running. I went into my WordPress PHP settings and corrected the server settings. Then WP decided I needed to reinstall. It deleted all my posts, comments, widget settings–basically everything–since 2009. Oddly enough, all my themes and plugins were still installed. After fidgeting around for an hour, setting up my widgets and using Google cache to look up my old blog posts, I decided I didn’t really lose much, save for a bunch of fattening fudge recipes (all of which I have documented on my hard-drive anyhow). My last posts before the one I did showing my new book cover was from September 2010, for a fundraiser that was long past over.

Oh well, you live and learn, right?
