So they wrote goodbye notes to all of their family and friends, packed the car and left on a sunny June afternoon with three hundred and fifty dollars between them.

God rudely interrupted the fanciful journey at a rest area west of Chicago with a one-in-a-million chance meeting. Craig walked through the entry door to the old facility at the same moment his cousin exited. Joe, who is twenty years older, just happened to be moving to Colorado that day with his family. Long story short, Joe appealed to their sense of family and encouraged them to call home before they continued westward

Cameron Lost book launch party

Home from my second launch party, this one was at a coffee house in the town I live in Michigan.

I had an enjoyable time talking with people from all walks of life interested in hearing the stories I have written and listening to their stories.

Fun times.

I more than hated this book. Way more than hated it. So much more than that. The antithesis of hatred, in this case, is that I absolutely loved it. Listening on my trip home from Florida, the first Florida trip since my wife of 43+ passed away, and I ...more

I am so glad that I read this book. I read it slowly. It is pa

“I don't think we choked this time. We never played well enough to choke.”
Craig Matthews

“Forgiveness is the language of heaven.”
Rebecca Nichols Alonzo, The Devil in Pew Number Seven

“I forgive you.” Those just might be the three most difficult words in the world to say to someone who has wronged you—especially if you mean what you’re saying. Come to think of it, it’s even more difficult to forgive the offender before he or she has asked for forgiveness—and virtually impossible to extend forgiveness to a person who, by all appearances, may never apologize for his or her actions.”
Rebecca Nichols Alonzo, The Devil in Pew Number Seven

“Layer upon layer of soft-packed snowflakes settled in near silence, forming a quilt of feathery ice crystals.”
Rebecca Nichols Alonzo, The Devil in Pew Number Seven
