My brother described the premise and that hooked me.

It’s a fun premise - that there is a British government organization which battles supernatural memory-robbing creatures. It creates an unsolvable puzzle for the heroes which is really fun to think

This book is so funny, so merciless and so smart. Maybe the best I've seen at articulating what's weird about living online. There are no nice people in this book, but there's also not many mean ones. Everyone is completely obsessed only with themsel ...more

So funny and so honest. It's self-deprecating and vulnerable and honest about: growing up gay in non-tolerant West Texas, figuring out what you want to do, having the guts to pursue acting, and the insecurities of not getting the success you were hop ...more

“The hard truth is often simply: learn to act like a normal person.”
Will Hines, How To Be The Greatest Improviser On Earth

“Yin and Yang Another way to think about the top of the scene is with the Taoist principles of yin and yang. Yin is passive, patient, empathetic, malleable. It is akin to a “yes.” Yang is active, assertive, decisive, altering. It is akin to an “and.” After a series of small moves that simply confirm information without adding a lot, it’s time for a “yang” move: make a decision, add some information. But once someone makes a big “yang” move, then it’s time for a simple “yin” response. Confirm and unpack what was just added. Even a beat of silence is a good idea.”
