Jenn Jackson is the author of the political and historical essay collection BLACK WOMEN TAUGHT US: AN INTIMATE HISTORY OF BLACK FEMINISM (Penguin Random House, 2024). This book was a finalist for the PEN America Open Book Award and Amazon's pick for Best History.

Their first academic book, POLICING BLACKNESS: HOW THREAT SHAPES BLACK POLITICS is expected to be released in 2027 from Cornell University Press.

Their work rests at the intersections of Blackness, gender, sexuality, policing, and social movements. They are a contributor at Yes!
