C. R. Tsiailis is a Greek Cypriot author, living in Nicosia. He is an English teacher, and a holder of Masters’ degree in the theory of theatre. His passion for writing consumes most of his time. He travels a lot, recording memories from everywhere, which he incarnates along with his observations on human behaviour, in all genres (poetry, short story, novel, theatre). His writing tends towards a blend of social, psychological and philosophical quest always with a strong tendency to science fiction.

He is the author of "Throwing Dice On A Chessboard", 2010, "The Green Divorce", 2012, the sci-fi novel ‘Klotho Surfaces', April 2016, the short story collection “ΨΩΜΙ (=bread)” 2017, two poetry collections in 2021, “Oua” and “Symptoms”, and a poetry collection in 2022, “Ugga, bony historicism”. His latest book is "Mitra Urbana", translating as "Uterus Urbana". Selected work of the author has been translated in various languages (Spanish, Arabic, Uzbek, etc.). The writer also writes articles, interviews of artists and book reviews for literary magazines in Greece and other countries. He is occasionally a critic in literary contests.

Ο συγγραφέας Χρίστος Ρ. Τσιαήλης είναι Ελληνοκύπριος, κάτοικος Λευκωσίας. Είναι καθηγητής Αγγλικών, και κάτοχος Μάστερ στη θεωρία του θεάτρου. Το πάθος του για τη συγγραφή αναλώνει τον περισσότερό του χρόνο. Ταξιδεύει ασταμάτητα, αποτυπώνοντας μνήμες από παντού, τις οποίες μετενσαρκώνει μαζί με τις παρατηρήσεις του στην ανθρώπινη συμπεριφορά, σε όλα τα είδη (ποίηση, διήγημα, μυθιστόρημα, θέατρο). Η γραφή του τείνει προς ένα μίγμα κοινωνικής, ψυχολογικής και φιλοσοφικής αναζήτησης, πάντα με μια δυνατή τάση προς την επιστημονική φαντασία.
Ποιήματα και πεζογραφήματά του στην ελληνική και την αγγλική γλώσσα έχουν εμφανιστεί σε συλλογές, λογοτεχνικά περιοδικά, και σε ανθολογίες όπως τα ‘ArtAscent’, ‘Poets and Dreamers’, ‘Parousia’, ‘Αιολικά Γράμματα’, ‘Αναγνώστης’, ‘Diasporic Literature’, 'Nicosia Beyond Barriers', ‘Η Πόλη Αυτό Το Βράδυ: Αθήνα’, ‘Φαντασμαγορία 2017: Αδιέξοδο’, ‘Πρώτη Κυπριακή Ανθολογία του Φανταστικού: ‘Το Ποτάμι του Χρόνου’, 2017, ‘Παράξενοι Έρωτες’, 2017. Έχει λάβει πολλές διακρίσεις και επαίνους σε πανελλήνιους λογοτεχνικούς διαγωνισμούς, πιο πρόσφατο το Α’ βραβείο με το ποίημα ‘Η Δύναμη του Τριγώνου’, το οποίο πήρε το πρώτο βραβείο στον Πανελλήνιο Διαγωνισμό της UNESCO του 2018 για την επιστροφή των γλυπτών του Παρθενώνα.Στα βιβλία του συγγραφέα περιλαμβάνονται η συλλογή διηγημάτων ‘Throwing Dice on a Chessboard’, 2010, η ποιητική συλλογή ‘The Green Divorce’, 2012, το ‘Klotho Surfaces’, και το πρώτο μυθιστόρημα από την Τριλογία Επιστημονικής Φαντασίας – ‘The Omniconstants Trilogy’, 2016. Το πιο πρόσφατό του βιβλίο, ‘Ψωμί’, 2017, με τις εκδόσεις Γκοβόστης αποτελεί μια σπονδυλωτή συλλογή διηγημάτων. Επίσης έχει εκδώσει με τις εκδόσεις Γκοβόστης τις ποιητικές συλλογές "Συμπτώματα", 2021, ¨Ουά", 2021 και "Ούγκα - Οστικοί Ιστορισμοί", 2022. Μέρος του έργου του έχει μεταφραστεί σε διάφορες γλώσσες (ισπανικά, αραβικά, ουζμπεκικά, κ.α.).
Ο συγγραφέας αρθρογραφεί σε λογοτεχνικά περιοδικά. Έχει κληθεί ως κριτής σε διαγωνισμούς Λογοτεχνίας και εκπαιδευτής σε σεμινάρια λογοτεχνικής γραφής. Έχει μεταφράσει συλλογές ποίησης στα ελληνικά. Υπηρετεί την τέχνη του θεάτρου στη θέση του βοηθού σκηνοθέτη.
