Award in Poland
Earlier this year, Mateusz Marecki, a graduate student at a Polish University, wrote his master's thesis (in English) on speculative poetry in general and my poems in particular. He interviewed me briefly as part of the thesis.
That thesis has received an award from the Polish Association for American Studies -- http://paas.org.pl/ -- for the Best American Studies Master's Thesis written at a Polish university in 2011. A chapter from the thesis will be reprinted in the Polish Journal for American Studies, and an article based on that chapter will appear in the European Journal of American Studies.
Feels good to get some scholarly recognition, even if it isn't onshore.
