Titles are so hard for me. Very rarely do I know the title of my books while I'm writing them--and then, when I'm near the end of the book, I usually find myself talking about the plot and characters with friends and family and trying to figure out what the title could be! With The Opposite of Maybe, the title came about because my friend Alice (also an author) had a dream that I wrote a book with that title--and when I thought about it, the title really fit! Because Rosie has lived such a "maybe" kind of life, never really committing to anything, she discovers what it's like to live the opposite kind of life. And with "The Stuff That Never Happened," that refers to a secret between a couple, something that happened early in their marriage that they both wanted to forget. But YOU know what happens when you have something you never want to talk about, right? At least in fiction, it HAS to get talked about! Thanks for this question...I hope you like the books! (less)
