Betty Dravis's Blog: DREAM REACHERS: New Book Inspires People to Live Their Dreams!

During the past year, I have written one more book, a horror "The Hiss of Evil" that will be released within the next few months.
Since the release of my first short-film (based on my short story "The Snack" from "Six-Pack of Fear" book) that I announced in January, I have had more offers for films to be produced from my books and stories.
One thing led to another and nowI am co-producing three feature films for Jennifer Dawn Anderson Bounds of Forbidden Tears Productions. My branch is entitled Dravis and Tears and Jennifer, Director William Russell and I are producing a trilogy of anti-bully films: "Flowers in the Snow," "Don't EverTell," and "To the Top."
Two are finished and are in sever film festivals. With that in mind, I am asking you to VOTE FOR 'FLOWERS IN THE SNOW' trailer in the Los Angeles CineFest. It features a beautiful song by the great young actress/singer/songwriter Ashley Nicole.

I feel so blessed to FINALLY break into movies with my stories, although I did not write this trilogy. My second short-film "The Legend of Herman's Harem" is now in production by award-winning Hollywood producer Suniil Sadarangani, originator of "Bollywood" from India. Did you ever dream of your stories becoming movies? Well, I have always longed for that...and now that dream has come true.

I'm very excited because my very first short-film based on my story "The Snack" is now in DVD format. I contracted with KPF Productions founder Mina Ownlee of Florida to film my story which was first published in "Six-Pack of Fear" (co-author of book is the amazing paranormal writer Barbara Watkins).

If you like the campy little horrors of the 80s, you will like this. It's the kind where you might laugh in all the wrong places, but shiver while doing it.

I have another contract with In Transit Productions founder Suniil Sadarangani of Hollywood to short-film my humor/adventure story "Uncle Herman's Harem." It's in pre-production with excpectations for it to release in mid-to-late 2015.

I hope all my Goodreads friends get a copy of my film. It is exciting to see my characters come to life. It has been a long time coming...

My author dream was to have one or all of my books made into a movie. This dream is coming true. One of my short stories (HEAVY METAL from my SIX-PACK OF BLOOD book; book co-author Barbara Watkins) has been chosen by a new, upcoming Florida Production Company, SGMM PRODUCTIONS, and is in production.

Now the trailer for my movie (made in one week by college student Gabby Moore) is in Stetson U competition to win a trip to Hollywood for Gabby and for our film to be viewed by all the Hollywood pros.
