The (new) Quantum Rose, Chapter I4

I've posted Chapter 4 of The (new) Quantum Rose on my patreon. I'm revising the whole book in preparation for its re-release. It's here: patreon.com/posts/46884976

The picture below is similar to the palace in the book, though that one is in the mountains.

The palace in this picture is a real place. The first time I went there, during a trip to San Francisco, I couldn't stop being amazed. It was like seeing a place out of a fantasy I'd imagined come to real life. The palace I describe in TQR is based on the ancient Maya palaces, but with changes to fit the thousands of years evolution in the story. This actually comes fairly close, though it doesn't have the Maya influence. Also, the water in this picture would be a plaza in the story.

The (new) Quantum Rose, Chapter 6 and 7

The chapters in full are on my Patreon page at:

I put two chapters because I'm getting them up too slowly. By the time I'm ready to send the revised book to my eBook publisher, I'm hoping to have the entire book posted on Patreon as well, like I did with Lightning Strike Book II.

I'm also hoping I can get it all posted in time to get feedback from on the essay at the back of the book that explains how the subtitles of each chapter relate to quantum scattering theory of polyatomic molecules. It needed a LOT of rewriting. I did it too fast, because I was on deadline when I first sent this book in to the publisher. In retrospect, I see I didn't explain things as well as I should have. In fact I jumped over a number of concepts that needed at least a few sentences. So I'm taking the time to do it right.

I remember when the French translator got to the essay, they added some notes of their own to the test. At the time, I was quite annoyed, given that translators are just supposed to translate, not add new text to the book. However, in retrospect, I wonder if they were trying to make clear some of the unclear concepts I talked about in the essay.

The chapters involve a lot of riding around on green glass stags. I didn't have any pictures of those, so I found pictures of Earth stags which look similar. Greenglass stags are much larger, with iridescent scales, but hey. :-)
