Bullying and beyond
Pickles and the P Flock was and is an unusual unveiling of the bullying issue. It addresses the problem(s) in the traditional way, a group en masse rejecting an individual, while, at the same time, shines a bright light on how easy it is to join the bullying group in the rejection. I was there as a child, bullied often, BUT I also draped the bullying mantle over my shoulders when the opportunity availed.
Young children need to read stories that will deeply imprint their subconscious, to not only protect themselves from bullying but critically be able to side step the opportunities when they themselves are offered the chance to bully.

Happy Thanksgiving
Was out in the studio wandering around my word pile, when I realized today is Thanksgiving or Thanksgetting, as the case may be. I am a creature of habit, and it seems, a day isn't a day without sitting at my old trestle desk and slipping into a story. I am done now, back in the office in the house, ready to wake up my wife, the dog, the cat and the potato bugs under the welcome mat to a crisp and sparkling morning.
To all of you and all of yours, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving
