Russell Beck grew up in Indianapolis Indiana. He played football at the University of Buffalo on a scholarship and wrote a column for the school newspaper titled, the Athletic Supporter. It was more humor than highlights, à la Dave Barry.

He writes with grit, grace, and a sharp eye for the moments that shape us. His memoirs explore family, history, and the quiet resilience of everyday life, funny, raw, and rooted in lived experience.
