Dr. Steven Collins, Ph.D. (Archaeology and Biblical History, Trinity Southwest University, 1997; Ph.D., Trinity Theological Seminary, 1983; M.Div., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, 1975), is the Dean of the College of Archaeology at Veritas International University, a consulting research professor at Trinity Southwest University (TSU), and the chief excavator (TeHEP Co-Director) at the Tall el-Hammam site in Jordan. An evangelical archaeologist, he claims the latter site is the biblical city of Sodom, though the majority of other scholars disagree on geographical and chronological grounds.
