Reviews and Interviews

I’ve done two interviews at The Arthur recently. There's one about my Hidden Brook Press anthology They Have To Take You In. I also read from the preface on Sunday December 7th for an interview for CBC radio about my mother, the painter Christiane Pflug, whose painting Cottingham School with Yellow Flag, graces the cover. She also did the portrait of me reproduced here, Kitchen Door with Ursula. It hangs in the Winnipeg Art Gallery. I’ll post more about the radio interview once it’s scheduled to air. Additionally, I talked about They Have To Take You In on Lynda Williams’ wonderful Reality Skimming blog, where I have been a guest before. The link to that interview is here.

DF Lewis, author and editor of the excellent British Nemonymous anthology series, has written an amazing, complicated and insightful review of Harvesting the Moon. Des has also said wonderful clever things about my previous collection, After the Fires. It’s always nice when an older book gets some extra attention.

The second Arthur interview is about the October 16 Chiseries event, where I read from my PS short story collection, Harvesting the Moon and Other Stories. I shared the evening with Ian Rogers, Kate Story, and the ever-astonishing Derek-Newman-Stille.

I've done two interviews for my flash novel Motion Sickness recently, one for 49th Shelf and one for the lovely Carole Giangrande's blog, The Thoughtful Blogger. My amazing illustrator Kismet Dyment did an interview for Daily Xtra. Patricia Flewelling ran an excerpt on Nine Day Wonder.

The links to the reviews and interviews are on my website here.
