“The Lord of glory flashes forth! And reality grows sacred, the handiwork of God, the stuff that contained the Word, the Son of God.”
James Calvin Schaap, Finding Christmas: Stories of Startling Joy and Perfect Peace

“I’ve always thought of God as the only first-rate artist. There’s so much that’s miraculous about us—the way three tiny bones in our ears can process sound waves, for instance; and around us his perfect hand has painted the greatest masterpiece, the ecology of nature with its balance and precision, the way it can juxtapose competing forces into something harmonious. Stop and look sometime at the beauty of a weeping willow—I can go on and on”
James Calvin Schaap, Finding Christmas: Stories of Startling Joy and Perfect Peace

“It was Christmas joy, giving being the blessing it is. And that’s something a human being never stops learning either, I’ll tell you.”
James Calvin Schaap, Finding Christmas: Stories of Startling Joy and Perfect Peace

Diane So glad to have found you on here, cousin! Have you read "All the Light We Cannot See"? An amazing book! Before Oprah had her book club, I would have to walk up to strangers at the library and ask if they had read any good books, lately. (and before computers) I was so glad when her lists came out, and read nearly every one. Now that she isn't doing that anymore, I have to search on the computer, but I am glad to see your list of books to read, now I can follow those! Hope you are well, and enjoying retirement! Look us up next time you are in Michigan!

Tot kijk,
Diane (Vruwink) Carlson
