You Were Born For Me

Stevie Bonds was the reason I wrote this novel. Her character, the main character kept getting in my head. I have lots of manuscript ideas that I start then stop because I can't get into them or another idea pops into my head that just won't quit. Stevie just won't go away. You see her in many of my Pointe Royal Series books because I just want to know what she's doing with Declan moving forward in her life.

I find that I think that way about other writers works as well. What happens 5 years from now. 10 years from now. Do they really have their happily ever after? I wonder if other readers ever feel that way so through the other books in the series I've given readers a look into what happens in the characters lives after their book is complete because they keep coming back in novel after novel.

What I liked about Stevie was her sense of humor. Her love of her family and friends. Her feisty personality. What I have found is there is a little piece of me in each of my characters. Stevie I think it is her passion. With Bronagh from At Last it is her artistic ability. Lexi from Never Leave Me is her quiet strength. Scarlett from For Always it was her gentleness. There is a firecracker just waiting to explode beneath Scarlett's quiet nature. And Scarlett's ability to get into trouble. That is me.

Stevie and Declan's story led to Joy's Story. She is Stevie's mother. I personally love the two part story about how Joy became the type of person she is. How she really lived her life with regret because of decisions she made as a young woman. Don't we all want to go back at some point in our lives and make changes? Joy definitely wanted that.

So I've made You Were Born For Me FREE on Amazon starting tomorrow 5/1 until 5/5. I love this story. Sometimes I go back reread my stories still wondering if I captured the voice that I wanted Stevie to have.

Each book I try to make a little different. One theme always runs through them family and friendship are very important. They take care of each other. So if you pick up the free book You Were Born for Me on Amazon let me know what you think by leaving a review. Good or bad reviews are needed in order for me to grow as a writer.

My sister's brother-in-law read this book his critique was there was some repetition. He was right. I went back and corrected them. His mother in her 80's reads my books. I buy them for her as soon as I publish them. I can't write fast enough to keep her happy. She loves them. My best friend told me that I made her cry, laugh and get excited when she read this book. Not sure she is as unbiased. So all critiques are welcome.

Happy Mother's Day

I've already been on Facebook wishing everyone a Happy Mother's day. So anyone who is a mother reading this blog post today Happy Mother's day.

It is quiet here this morning. Just me and the dogs are awake although they are asleep on the sofa. It is the best time of day in my life when I have nothing to do but write or read.

I've been missing my opportunities to read. I work 45-50 hours as a Technical Project Manager so to keep moving forward with my writing I have to keep writing after work no reading for me. I miss it.

Reading is an opportunity to explore new worlds. Get lost in someone else's drama. Their lives. It is exciting to experience the anticipation of the building up of a story then to have the climax in the ending. The ah moment when everything falls into place. The characters are happy and you are happy.

So yesterday I was wondering why does everyone choose to read a story? What are you reading and why?

I often read Deborah Bladon's books. I'm behind now obviously. I've still bought them they are waiting on my kindle app on my iPad. She's edgy and a good storyteller.

I've tried out the MC Romances. I think those can be difficult to write because the writers try to be edgy but they can come across as kind of silly but MN Forgy is really good with the MC Romance series. Read all hers.

I read all kinds of romances from historical bodice ripping (although they aren't really like that anymore are they?) to baddest bad boy romances the doms and submissives. Again those can be just silly at times.

I still like a good John Grisham or Stephen King book as well. I just like to read. Always have, always will.

Part of what I try to keep in the back of my mind when I'm selling my books is keeping it as inexpensive as possible. I like that when I see an author who hasn't overprice her/his books. Times are hard and if you like to read a lot like I do then it can get expensive. I cringe sometimes when I see my credit card statement and see how much I've spent on my kindle app. Yikes the books add up quickly. I'm a fast reader.

So one of Amazon's promotions as a self-published author on their site is to give away books.

May 11-15 For Always is Free. Happy Mother's Day.

Scarlett was one of my favorite characters. She looks like an Angel but she's voluptuous. She's sweet but she's sassy. She had to be growing up with so many boys around. Her brothers Alex and Tegan and their friends. It was fun to write her story. So it you get it I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I wrote it.

Feel free to comment on what you enjoy reading and why. I would love to hear whether you read my books or not.

I Told You So

This was a leap of faith for me. Sometimes something you think sounds good doesn't always appeal to others. So what is I Told You So? A widow Delany O'Halloran falls in love with a wounded police officer Ian Black. Her dead husband and her nearly three year old son play matchmaker. Only Brady her son sees Alex her dead husband all the time. Alex can control his friends, family and wife's dreams to convey his message to them. He visits Ian this way as well. His own struggle is watching her fall in love with Ian letting her go when she starts to let him go.

The Beginning and The Eng

Where do I go from here? This is the last book in the Pointe Royal Series of books. I have to find new characters to fall in love with. The Beginning and The End is available now on Amazon. It weaves six of the children's lives you have seen from the series, Fionn Moore and Aine (Awn-yee) O'Halloran, Ciaran Moore and Ryan O'Halloran and Sophie Moore and Seth Hellson as they start new lives with new babies on the way with the ending of one of the older couples relationships into a final ending that is happy and sad at the same time. It is a romantic story but a family story too. How family comes together when you need them.

Enjoy.

I Told You So

Alex O'Halloran died suddenly. What happens when you die leaving your loved ones behind? I wanted to explore that. So you see him interact with his siblings, his best friends, his wife. His son Brady. Shay and Bobby Martin. In particular Shay who looked upon him as a son. She feels him like a cool breeze across her cheek. She tells him that she misses him not really realizing that he's there watching over her. Alex helps Delany his widow let him go even when he realizes he's having trouble letting her go. He pushes her into the arms of his best friend Ian Black with the help of his young son Brady. Only then can he move on. I Told You So. Available on Amazon.com for $2.99.

I Will Always Love You

Available from December 6th to the 13th on Amazon for only $0.99

Tegan Francis O’Halloran was eighteen years old, on top of the world. He was going to college at the University of Cincinnati. He was crazy in love. Then it all came crashing down on him.

Rhett had called him on the phone. She no longer loved him. That is the day his world fell apart. When he fell apart. He drank too much when that didn’t make the hurt go away he slept with whatever willing female would sleep with him and there were lots of them. That still didn’t dull the pain of losing her.

Almost ten years have passed. Tegan still had a thing for Rhett Martin. She was going to show up at his apartment tonight to pick up his sister Scarlett. They were all going downtown for a bachelorette party. Tegan and Rhett would be awkward as they always were. They would pretend that it didn’t still hurt. At least he would. He didn’t actually know what Rhett was thinking or feeling anymore. He actually never knew what Rhett had been thinking on that day that she broke his heart.

He just knew that he still loved her and he always would...

Reduced several other novels in the Point Royal Series to $1.99.

Forever

My new series about the Smoky Mountains is live. Forever is available on Amazon.com.
Her long blonde hair tickled his face. He
rolled over and groaned. Her slender fingers on his bare chest excited him. Enticed him.
But she wasn’t trying to. She was desperate. Desperate for him. Desperate to touch him.

Was she real or a figment of Deacon Justice’s imagination? She felt pretty damn real right now. Her voice was soft and sweet as she spoke to him. He didn’t know who she was but she had been invading his dreams for months now. Preventing him from sleeping at night. Waking him with calls for help. He didn’t understand what she needed from him.
Selene Darsi knew him. Through time, again and again she recognized his soul. She had loved him. She needed his help. She invaded his dreams, reaching out to him. If only he would recognize her. Help her before it was too late.
They were forever joined. Never had found the happiness they deserved. This time needed to be different. This time they would have forever.

Watch for specials coming soon to Amazon.
