Meredith Skrzypek Arthur, a San Francisco-based writer and video producer, has experienced stress in all of its incarnations and lived to tell this tale. An early pioneer of “getting people to talk about mental health in a normal way,” Meredith created the website Beautiful Voyager in 2015 for overthinkers, perfectionists, and people pleasers. She wrote GET OUT OF MY HEAD: INSPIRATION FOR OVERTHINKERS IN AN ANXIOUS WORLD to share the wisdom of the community and help others tune into the wave. She also edits Invisible Illness, the largest mental health publication on Medium.

The wisdom of the community has helped me on my own journey, and I suspected that I might want to gather it into a new format for others to enjoy. I first started thinking about writing a book in 2016, but...I overthought it. My vision was massive. Too massive. I couldn't execute my ideas.

When I returned to my book concept in 2018, things had shifted. I was able to follow the flow and create something that felt clear and coherent. The book proposal flowed out of me. That was really when my idea for the book congealed. (less)
