Heather Ream is used to being the most sensitive person in the room.

Like when the girl standing beside her in the church play refused to hold her hand and Heather ran off the stage, crying. Or the time Heather’s teacher accused her of being disrespectful (which was true), and Heather ran out of homeroom, crying.

And let’s not forget that when Heather won the school spelling bee, she ran out of the auditorium…crying.

Luckily, she grew up and discovered that there are a bunch of folks built just like her. They even have a name - highly sensitive people.
