I am a wife, mother and national speaker who has authored 17 books, including "When Women Walk Alone," "Drama Free" and my most recent, "12 Ways to Experience More with Your Husband."

Through my speaking across the country, personal discipleship of women, and writing and teaching, I strive to help women find strength for their soul through a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Once they realize He is the Only One who satisfies, life takes a new, exciting twist. We can then take our frustrations and turn them into a deeper desire for God.

I live in Southern California with my husband of 30 years. We have an daughter who works for the Walt Disney Company.

I'm glad you found me. I wrote "When God Sees Your Tears" because I was fascinated with Hannah's story in the Bible and how she suffered some longings (waiting YEARS for a child) and losses (giving up that long-awaited child) and yet God was working through all of that to give her a powerful legacy. I believe He still does that today. So I rounded up many encouraging stories of what God did in the lives of many women who were hurting through some losses, hurting through some unmet longings, or just waiting for something they felt was impossible and how God worked in their lives. The premise behind that book is that when God withholds something from those of us who are trusting Him with our lives, it is often for our own protection, or because He is waiting to give us something far better that we haven't even thought to ask for.
