It feels like overdramatising a feeling we probably all face; sometimes we don't quite know where the story's going next. It's scary when you're facing a deadline, as I often did in my non-fiction career, but giving it a name may make it feel heavier than it is.
When I am struggling to make progress, I sometimes find going for a walk or bike ride helps clear the head; or simply concentrating on something else, whether it's a different story, revision and editing – or answering questions on Goodreads! (less)
