IyanuOluwa Olorode, known to most as Iyanu, is passionate about writing Christian Fiction that portrays the love of God in a broken world. She writes about the Master Fixer who puts back together broken hearts and souls.

When she's not writing, she's daydreaming and having conversations with her characters in her head. If she's not doing either of these, then she's listening to music (majorly Contemporary Christian Music), cooking and finding new recipes, reading novels and gushing about them online, watching movies with incredible storylines, scrolling on Instagram and sending funny reels to her reel-ationship partners or listening to the word of God.

Iyanu lives in Ogun State, Nigeria, with her Mama Booska, Big Li'l Sis, and a younger broth

I was once broken and in the pit of depression, but God's love found me through a story, a testimony of a sister at church. Christian fiction has given me hope and challenged me to love God more and I want and hope to be able to do that through my books.(less)

How to Approach Delicate Issues in Christian Fiction

The best thing any Christian writer can do when preparing to deal with a difficult subject in fiction is ask God for clarity. The next thing is to be unfailingly honest with yourself. Why are you writing about this topic? Is it out of morbid curiosity? A sense of obligation? A need to be edgy? Or are you writing about this topic out of a true care for those who have and do experience it? Do you wa

I really loved the premise of this, but it didn't quite land for me. I enjoyed the body positivity representation and the portrayal of life after divorce on children, but I found the romance not so convincing.

“That’s how it is with our feelings and the truth of God’s word. Our feelings are emotional reactions to maladies in our thinking or perspective, but our reality is God’s word which is truth. The truth remains constant. Lagos can be like Mercury, but with your fever, you cover up yourself with a duvet and are still not warm enough. We’re spirit beings. We do not react based on our emotions. We react to God’s word. If God says you’re forgiven, then you are. Regardless of how and what you feel.”
IyanuOluwa Olorode, Love's Direction

“God is God when things work out perfectly and He remains God when things are jagajaga.”
IyanuOluwa Olorode, Love's Beacon

“Anytime you hear words that exalt your past above what God has already done for you, that is the voice of condemnation and not the Holy Ghost.”
IyanuOluwa Olorode, Love's Direction

“When the devil comes knocking on your door simply say "Jesus, it's for you.”
Robin Jones Gunn, Sunsets

“We make our plans, but God directs our steps.”
Rachel Hauck, Once Upon a Prince

“You said go to her, and I let pride stand in my way. You said she needed me, and I didn't believe. You said love her, and I thought it would be easy.”
Francine Rivers, Redeeming Love

“Just because you don’t believe in the Lord doesn’t mean his power isn’t working for you.”
Francine Rivers, Redeeming Love

“Forgiveness makes you feel better. As soon as you forgive, you're free.”
