Book Update – Am I a bestseller yet?

Short answer: No

Not by any metrics, really, although metrics are hard to come by due to issues with the old owner of my publisher. Long story!

Anyway, one of the places where I do get sales numbers is Norli, the biggest bookstore chain in Norway (because I work there). My book has been available at several Norli loctaions since October 2024.

Damn, it’s already been a year!

And in that year I’ve sold

"On paper, this totally seemed like a book that I would adore. While the premise held great potential, the execution left much to be desired for ME specifically.

However, the world-building felt superficial, with science fiction elements lacking depth" Read more of this review »

Steven Erikson
“And now the page before us blurs.
An age is done. The book must close.
We are abandoned to history.
Raise high one more time the tattered standard
Of the Fallen. See through the drifting smoke
To the dark stains upon the fabric.
This is the blood of our lives, this is the
Payment of our deeds, all soon to be
Forgotten.
We were never what people could be.
We were only what we were.

Remember us.”
Steven Erikson, The Crippled God
