I changed my mind. The Treasure of the House of Levi is finished. I'm so eager to get it out to readers, it feels like sitting with a box of chocolates on your lap, smelling, seeing, yearning for them and continuing to fast! But I'm going to seek an agent to land a solid publisher for my future work.

An entertaining story

I enjoyed this book, but it often lapses into didactic sermons and predictability. It would fare much better if it was only half as long. Overall, I’d say it’s worth the time if you have plenty of it.

This is a fun little project

If I understand correctly, this was a storytelling contest where each of the authors takes a chapter of the story. You get different styles of plot construction and an entertaining whole in this set of stories in a story.

“I’ve written all these stories without any pornography, without any obscenity. I grew up among sailors and miners and lumberjacks and the roughest kind men in the world, but I never found it necessary to use all that in the stories. I can make them real without that. I think much of that kind of writing is a coverup for lack of real skill.”
