Figuring it out.
Not only am I frightened living in a haunted house, things seem to happen when I'm alone, but lately we heard things and my husband will look at me confused and say "What was that?" He'll go look but in the mean time, I'm thinking what it is too. It's unnerving, of course. Like I said, the man who built this house, Seth, died in one of the bedrooms upstairs. Back then people did not go to the hospital, they died at home. I think that is the new way of dying now, too. With hospices available, people rather living and dying at home.

scardy cat.
Yes, I'm the world's biggest scardy cat. I imagine all types of things, usually when I'm alone. Living in such a large home will bring on creaks and groans, but the other day something happened that I can not debunk. While preparing dinner I heard three loud bangs coming from the floor above me. These were not little noises they were a deliberate and loud pounding on the floor above me. I looked up and told whatever was making that noise to stop. It listened and it didn't do it anymore. But it didn't stop for good.

Welcome
I write ghost stories. It really doesn't make much sense for me to write about them because I'm scared of them. But, you see, I live in a house built around 1850. I know there's been a lot of living in this house. Not only living but also dying. Back then people didn't go to the hospital to die, they did that at home. I've heard of two deaths that probably happened here. I'll talk about those tomorrow.

I looked up at the ceiling and said nicely, "Listen, we had an agreement of sorts. I made the arrangement and you, I thought listened." Now, I have to admit, I never heard anyone exactly, but I felt we had an agreement they would not scare me. The sound I heard sounded like croquet balls falling loudly, three times. Each time I heard it, I felt my heart skip. I've tried desperately to figure it out, debunking as they say, to no avail. I got cold and had that feeling of absolute dibelief.
