Dark, gut-wrenching thrillers that pose serious questions ...

Southern writer from Mississippi ... heros are clever yet haven't made their success. Scully's protagonists attempt to solve riddles, saving themselves in the process. Through foreshadowing and red-herring trails, larger than life elements may present themselves. Consider saving the fate of a nation, or enhancing posterity. Or simply protecting the people around him. Regardless, Scully leaves no regrets. His characters are plot driven, and usually possess flaws, disabilities, or enhanced strengths. Are you serious about writing?…moreDepends on how you look at writer's block. I've accumulated so much material I"ll never get to the bottom of the stack. Are you serious about writing? Since my first novel was published, I have written four more manuscripts that will take years to polish. I think you have to remember that books don't write themselves. If I had a nickel for every time somebody said, "If I could have written a book on that twenty years ago I'd be rich and famous," I"d be a rich man. Pick up some great books to read, too. You must read a lot--believe me you will find the inspiration!
