Desert Nights is a finalist in IAN's 2015 Book of the Year contest and wins honorable mention in 2015 Hollywood Book Festival
Great news, dear readers!
Desert Nights is finalist in the horror/suspense genre for the Independent Author Network's 2015 Book of the Year contest. Check out all the finalists here.
Desert Nights also won honorable mention in the 2015 Hollywood Book Festival. Have a look at the winners.
I also finished the first draft of my next book in July, so it should be about a year before that hot little lady is ready to burn your fingers. Keep an ear to the ground, and check my website or twitter for updates.

Editing
Okay, inaugural Goodreads blog. This is probably going to a place that has short post as I have other blogs and outlets for writing - and I also am fond of Twitter. Short post = good.
I sent a manuscript to the editor so I am waiting on pins 'n' needles to get it back. It might be a while til the book is truly finished, but it feels god to have gotten the re-written-till-my-eyes-hurt first go out of my house and off my desk. Gives me space to start something new.
The current project is called Desert Nights. Parts of it began years ago, parts of it just bubbled up in the past few months. It's all raw and vicious. Hopefully it'll be done this year or else the beginning of next year.
So why Write to Live? I'm one of those compulsive writers. Compulsive a lot of things, but writer high among them. If I am not creating something, anything, I get this itchy, crazy static build in my body I have to diffuse or risk doing something completely bonkers. Like jump off a building or see what kerosene tastes like or set my apartment on fire and move to Croatia.
Thankfully, I don't have to do any of those things because I can just write a character that does them, then I never have to experience those things myself. Isn't writing magic? Well? ISN'T IT??
I'm off. Have a swell day, readers!
