At university I studied archaeology and medieval history. I have had an interest in the history of all periods for as long as I can remember, and one in writing fiction that goes back almost as far. Often I combine the two in producing my novels. While it may not always be readily apparent from my stories, I am a romantic at heart, (hence my single foray into the realms of non-erotic Regency Romance) so you will mostly find a Happy Ever After at the end of my books, though it may not always be quite the kind you expect. I like strong and courageous heroines, so weak, wilting and readily accepting women do not feature as central characters in my stories. That usually makes for a lot of conflict with both the heroes and the villains. I like t ...more

Hi Nikki,

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Unfortunately Gestapo Girl was banned by Amazon about three years ago because they decided, after it had been on sale there for over two years, that the content of the story didn't comply with their guidelines. It is available for Kindle at several other web outlets - Smashwords is one of them.(less)

George Carlin
“We're so self-important. So arrogant. Everybody's going to save something now. Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save the snails. And the supreme arrogance? Save the planet! Are these people kidding? Save the planet? We don't even know how to take care of ourselves; we haven't learned how to care for one another. We're gonna save the fuckin' planet? . . . And, by the way, there's nothing wrong with the planet in the first place. The planet is fine. The people are fucked! Compared with the people, the planet is doin' great. It's been here over four billion years . . . The planet isn't goin' anywhere, folks. We are! We're goin' away. Pack your shit, we're goin' away. And we won't leave much of a trace. Thank God for that. Nothing left. Maybe a little Styrofoam. The planet will be here, and we'll be gone. Another failed mutation; another closed-end biological mistake.”
George Carlin

Hey Syfy, thanks so much for your kind comments about my story and about my writing too. I'm glad you enjoyed both. Not everything I write is quite as dark as that. I love your review too. If you'd like to try something a little more romantic let me know. :)

I didn't quite know how to put this, but, your portrayal of these characters was so respectful? You really can write your ass off!
I'm so crass, sorry.
