Lots of writing and a little adventure...
I'm deep in a new series — witches and shifters, small-town Colorado, nothing Time's End-adjacent about it.
After a writer’s workshop shook loose a part of my writer brain I hadn't used before, I scrapped my planned multiple-POV approach. I'm now writing this on in first person, one point of view. About 35,000 words are written and I'm going back to bring those earlier chapters in line with that decision. Interesting characters keep showing up I haven't planned for—occupational hazard of being a pantser.
I'm building a beta/ARC team for this one, aiming to have Book 1 done by January. If you want in on early access, follow me here for updates or shoot me a message on my website.
Also worth knowing: Inside the Tree Line – Time’s End Book One goes free on Amazon September 14–18 — a good excuse to add it to your shelf if you haven't yet, or hand it to someone who hasn't started the series.
For a little writing break, I spent a week knee-deep in family — a river day in Glenwood Canyon, three days camping near Marble, Colorado. Good for the soul, good for the next book.

From Druids to Witches: Where the Story Leads Next
Hello from western Colorado,
I'm venturing out to the GoodReads community with an ask.
The final book in my Time's End series, Echoes of Fate, came out last week, and I'm in that uncharted territory of writing something new. Several ideas have surfaced over the last three months, but the one that interests me most is a turn into a slightly new genre.
Instead of time-traveling druids, I find myself drawn to small-town witches. There will be romance, of course, but less of the battling to save the world and more of the quieter work of mending individual lives, helping one person find their way.
My own life and beliefs have been druid- and wiccan-adjacent for decades. I love ritual. But lately I've been reading deeply on Wicca, and I've moved my own fiction reading over to the genre I want to write.
So here's the ask: what are your favorite books in that genre? Even one title in the comments would make my day. And if you're a fellow Wicca-curious reader or a practicing witch, what reference materials do you return to?
