“By the standards of a tourist strolling past looking for a quick lunch, the place was a dive. The sign on the window was small and easy to miss, and the antique feel of the place wasn't the prepackaged, old-shit-on-the-wall nostalgia that came with so many chain restaurants. The cafe was just old, and everything about it said old. But Jon liked it that way, if only because it kept the tourists away and spared him from hearing imported ignorance when there was plenty of local ignorance to go around.”

Thrilled to say that the free giveaway from last week shot "Immaculate Deception" to the top of the Satire chart on Amazon, where it has stayed ever since. It also charted in the Top 100 of the Contemporary Fantasy and Single Women listings, so thanks everyone! For those of you who have read it or are reading it, reviews and ratings are much appreciated! Thanks!
Howdy, Goodreads gang! There's still time left tonight to take advantage of the FREE Amazon Kindle download of "Immaculate Deception," so be all means please do! A great addition to your summer reading file and a perfect chance for all you "want-to-readers" to find out what the excitement is about for free!
As of today the Kindle version of "Immaculate Deception" is ranked at No. 62 among all genre fiction/satire titles on Amazon. Excellent!
Attention winners of the most recent giveaway - your books have been shipped! Thanks again to the winners and everyone else for entering! Please take the time to rate and/or review the book after you've read it and many karmic blessings will be upon you, dig?
A little less than 16 hours before the latest Goodreads giveaway ends, but even if you don't win, you can still get your own hard copy via B&N, Amazon, your local book store - or the e-book version for your Kindle. And as always, for those of you who do acquire the book through whatever means, reviews are deeply appreciated.
Just posted the book trailer video on YouTube and in the left-hand rail of this page, so please check it out. Hoping there will be more "Immaculate Deception"-related video goodness on the way soon.
The giveaway is up and running! If you think you might like "Immaculate Deception" (even if you don't win) please add it to your "want to read" list. I'm always looking for dedicated book bloggers and fans to do reviews, so get in touch if you'd like a review copy.
I'll be conducting another giveaway celebrating my appearance at the Gaithersburg (Md.) Book Festival May 19, so stay tuned!
Hey, gang! Thanks so much to everyone who entered the giveaway that ran over the weekend. There were 544 entrants, which completely boggles my mind. I deeply appreciate your interest, and if there are any book bloggers out there who entered but didn't win (or put "Immaculate Deception" on your to-read lists), get in touch with me and let's talk about a possible review! As for the rest of you, please grab a copy of the book anyway and let me know what you thought of it.
