Janice Hechter is both an author and illustrator whose debut picture book, Adventure Girl, published in 2021 by Alazar Press, gained recognition in a New York Times article.
Mom’s Choice Gold Award winner, as well as Readers’ Choice Award Finalist, Where Are the Women?: The Girl Scouts’ Campaign for the First Statue of Women in Central Park, written and illustrated by Janice, and published by Red Chair Press, will be out on February 4, 2025. KIRKUS REVIEWS described the book as “An inspiring true story of female empowerment.”
