Preparing for Your Future

You never know what’s going to happen in life. One minute you’re on top of the world and the next minute you’re struggling to get by. But no matter what happens, remember that every single thing that has ever happened to you is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come. So don’t give up, because your best days are still ahead of you.

Everything Happens for a Reason

When you’re going through tough times, it’s easy to feel like life is just happening to you. But it’s important to remember that everything happens for a reason, even if we can’t see it at the time. Maybe you’re going through a tough break-up right now, but in 10 years you’ll meet the love of your life and look back on this moment as a blessing in disguise. Or maybe you’ve lost your job, but this setback will lead you to start your own successful business.

You Never Know What’s Around the Corner

The future is always unknown, which can be both scary and exciting. There are so many possibilities! And even though we can’t control everything that happens to us, we can control our reaction to it. So stay positive and hopeful, because you never know what’s around the corner. God has a way of surprising us when we least expect it.

No Matter What

No matter what happens in life, remember that everything is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come. So don’t give up, because your best days are still ahead of you. Everything happens for a reason, and even though the future is always unknown, stay positive and hopeful because you never know what surprises God has in store for you.

Scripture Focus: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Prayer:

Lord, I want to put my life, my relationships, and my future career in Your hands. Please guide me and help me do the work you want me to do. Show me the direction You want me to go in. I want to do what You want me to do and I pray that You will open the right doors for me and keep the wrong doors closed. Lord help me see that what has happened to me or what has not happened to me is a plan for a better future. Help me to stay positive and hopeful. Help me to remember that everything is preparing me for moment that is yet to come.

God, I pray for wisdom and insight. Help me to follow the path You have planned for me and to be successful in the things You have called me to do. Equip me with the skills and qualifications I need, and may my life, relationship, and career be used to Your praise and glory. In the name of Jesus. Amen

GSMMH: Episode 5 is now available on Kindle Vella

Tears welled in my eyes as she continued to torment me. I felt like Hannah when Peninnah taunted her. It was all so aggravating.

Ever had those moments where you’re moving in God, settling on your purpose and assignment, and the enemy sends someone to steal what you heard from God? How about you just got a word from God and the enemy swoops in causing discouragement?

I’m going to talk about this in an upcoming blog but for now enjoy Episode 5 of God Send Me My Husband on Kindle Vella. Click here to read GSMMH.

I will add new episodes to Kindle Vella shortly.

Holy Spirit Lead & Guide Me

DevotionalPost1

⁣The other day I was at work and the Holy Spirit said, “Don’t forget to order that thing for your husband.”

Right in the middle of a call, I said, “Oh, right. Let me do that now.”

So, I texted him and said, “It will be there on Monday!”

He responded, “I was just going to text you about it. Yup, you’re definitely my wife!”

The Holy Spirit wants to lead you in the relationship that you are in or going to be in. You just have to make a conscious decision to listen to the Holy Spirit’s promptings. These promptings are not there to hurt or harm you, but to help you. You’ve been praying for so long and now Holy Spirit wants to step in and help. So, listen and do whatever Holy Spirit says to do!

Even while my husband and I were dating, Holy Spirit kept telling me little things to do. Trust me, Holy Spirit wants to help, lead, and guide in your relationship.

Will you allow Him to? ⠀

If you want to let the Holy Spirit lead and guide, then you really have to make the choice to listen and obey.

Start with watching and listening for opportunities to obey the Holy Spirit’s leading, guiding, and promptings today. When you sense in your spirit what you need to do, do it. It may not always seem comfortable or be easy, but it’s important to obey where Holy Spirit is leading you. Trust me, that man will take notice and will be like how did she know to do that.

Study Genesis 24.

I Am Just Thankful for God

Honestly, I have nothing to say but thank you God. Today, above all else, I want to recognize God’s goodness, love, mercy, and faithfulness.
⠀⠀

When I look back over 2020, I am so grateful for God’s amazing love and care. I am thankful for His grace and mercy that is renewed every morning. I am thankful that He has allowed my faith to rise during a pandemic. I TRUST GOD. Despite all we’ve been through in 2020 GOD HAS BEEN GOOD.⠀⠀

⠀⠀

In 2020 I haven’t seen too many people give thanks to God. Governors, politicians, and we the people have thanked everyone else from nurses, doctors, and to truck drivers during this pandemic, but what about GOD!?⠀⠀

⠀⠀

As I traveled down I95 all I saw were advertisements thanking everyone else. It was then I felt the heart of God as He asked,

“What about me?”⠀⠀

⠀⠀

Today, let’s set aside time to thank GOD for the many blessings in 2020. Yes, the blessings of having breath in our lungs, waking up today, seeing new mercies, having freewill, or just being able to worship God—for a time is coming when our country will tell us you cannot do that anymore. So, today I boldly proclaim thankfulness to God.⠀⠀

⠀⠀

God, thank you for the life you’ve given me. Thank you for allowing me to be here to seek first the kingdom of God. Thank you God for just EVERYTHING!!!⠀⠀

⠀⠀

So, today, before anything else, let’s not focus on the bad or what we do not have. Let’s take time to thank God for something. Let a praise & worship flow from your lips as you thank God for keeping you, covering you, providing for you and protecting you. Most of all, let’s thank Him for how He loved us through it all & remained loyal to us, even if some of us have not.
⠀⠀

Scripture of the Day

This scripture blessed me this morning and I too say I am sticking with God because He’s been just that GOOD all the days of my life, including 2020.⠀⠀

Lamentations 3:22-23 from the Message Bible says: God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left.⠀⠀

⠀⠀

Yes, I am sticking with God & continuously thanking him for His faithfulness.
