Cassandra Clare
“There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then.”
Cassandra Clare, City of Glass

Cassandra Clare
“Alec: So you met jace. What did you think?
Kit: Of Jace?
Alec: Just making small talk.
Kit: Jace isn't much like you.
Alec: That's an understatement. But it doesn't matter. Parabatai don't need to be like each other. They just need to complement each other. To work well together.
Kit: And you and Jace complement each other?
Alec: I remember when I met him. He walked out of a Portal from Idiris. He was skinny and he had bruises and he had these big eyes. He was arrogant, too. He and Isabelle used to fight ... But to me everything aobut him said "Love me, because nobody else has". It was all over him, like fingerprints.”
Cassandra Clare, Lord of Shadows

Cassandra Clare
“Christopher, family for me was never blood. It was always the family I chose. But it turns out it’s nice to have someone I’m related to in this world. Someone I can tell boring family stories to. Do you know about Will Herondale? Or James Herondale?”
“I don’t think so,” said Kit.
“Excellent. Hours of your time will be ruined,” said Jace.”
Cassandra Clare, Queen of Air and Darkness

“Souxie, when a woman you don’t know doesn’t like you, that makes her the ugliest of them all, sweetheart.”
Granger ., The Secret World of Maggie Grey
