El Espectáculo del Vacío

The Spanish translation of The Spectacle of the Void is now available from Materia Oscura Editorial. The life of this book continues to amaze me. When I first wrote it, I never expected more than a handful of people would read it, and now it seems like a lot of readers find my fiction through my nonfiction. You just never know. I’m super grateful for everyone involved, Gary J. Shipley most of all.

El Mundo Inferior

The Spanish translation of The World Below is now available from Dilatando Mentes Editorial, who also previously published a translation of Corpsepaint. Both are beautifully designed books. Being translated into another language is arguably the biggest achievement for a writer, and I could not be more proud. Thank you so much to everyone involved, especially Joes Angel De Dios Garcia, who has long been a champion of my writing. You are the best. Thank you.

New story and Wake Island

First, I’m happy to announce that my autumnal story “All the Faithful Departed” was published in C.M. Muller’s latest themed anthology, Come October.

And second, Paul K. and David Leo Rice were nice enough to have me on Wake Island to talk about The World Below. We covered everything from Mandy to psychedelics to the West Memphis Three, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Please check it out!

Interview in Vol. 1 Brooklyn

My friend Chris Heavener interviewed me about The World Below for Vol. 1 Brooklyn. We discuss metaphysics, AI, cosmic horror, Christian nationalism, witches, and other fun stuff. Many thanks to Tobias Carroll for running it.

New interview and book review

I’ve got two pieces in the latest issue of Dead Reckonings. First, I interviewed one of my favorites authors, Curtis M. Lawson, about his collection The Envious Nothing. And second, I reviewed Thomas Ligotti’s new collection of poems, Pictures of Apocalypse.
