Introducing Audiobook Reader's Edge

Hey,
So, I know a ton of indie authors and I'm finally going to get my head in gear and try to let readers know about them.

(Full details on my website http://www.juliecgilbert.com/audioboo...)
Here's the basic deal:
1. If you enjoy audiobooks, sign up for Audiobook Readers' Edge and once we get rolling you'll get a weekly email with 3-10 recommendations for free or discounted audiobooks being offered up that week by the authors.
2. You'll get in contact with the authors you're interested in and request an audiobook.
3. If they still have codes/gifts available at the time you request and they're willing to work with you, they will send you that code or gift.
4. If you enjoy the book, thank the author by leaving a spiffy review on GR, Amazon, BN, ibooks, or wherever it is you enjoy leaving reviews. (Reviews don't have to be a time consuming or scary thing...just tell people what you liked about the book)

PS. If you think it's a great idea, consider doing a blog post on it. Spread the word. The more readers we involve, the more authors I can attract. The more authors I can attract, the bigger and better a selection of free and discounted books you'll get.

Flash Giveaway for Valentine's Day

I totally forgot, but Awakening is also free as an ebook from Amazon.
http://tinyurl.com/j6avph7

Offer expires 2/14/17.

I did that purposefully so people could enter the pb giveaway but also get it anyway, even if they're not chosen of the 300+ entries.

Big Newsletter Push

I'll be running giveaways for paperbacks through Goodreads all of 2017, but any time an international winner is chosen for the first one, I will likely move the additional copies to a private giveaway for those who are subscribed to my monthly newsletter.

Goodreads says I can't giveaway more than 300 copies of 1 book :-P Guess I'll just have to settle for switching it up a bit.

Here's the Giveaway Schedule so far: (always subject to change)
January Thin Black Road
February Awakening
March Ashlynn's Dreams
April The Collins Case
May Thin Black Road
June Awakening
July Ashlynn's Dreams
August The Collins Case
September Thin Black Road
October Awakening
November Ashlynn's Dreams
December The Collins Case

Heartfelt Cases and Ashlynn's Dreams Giveaways

Check out both the Ashlynn's Dreams and Heartfelt Cases Giveaways here on Goodreads.

This year I’ll be at BEA May 27-31, 2015 in the Javits Center, New York City. Come visit Booth 2342 to enter more contests for great indie books and prizes.

For more special offers, please email me at devyaschildren@gmail.com. I have a decent supply of postcards for book covers available on request. I just need your mailing address to send that.

Teachers in small, private schools may also request a review copy of Ashlynn's Dreams. (I have about 5 that can be distributed this way.) Review e-books are available upon request.

Ch. 1 Paragraph 1

I'm Jillian, and Momma says I'm smart as a whip. I saw a picture of a whip once; it didn't look too smart. But I've learned to nod and smile, even if I don't understand. Ain't no better accomplisher than me in all of Atlanta or Georgia or these here sweet Southern states, as Nana likes to call 'em, and that's a fact. Momma says it's not nice to say such things, but I never get no good idears about what she means when she scolds like that.

So, what do you all think of this excerpt? Good...

Mass Email Text

Hey all,

(I am linking the amazon paperback page because it's a little convoluted to get there. Basically, amazon has it pop right up with the ebook version. Then you can click on that and find the paperback.)

Below is the text for a mass email. Any and all who can help, please use the text to tell all your friends about the book.

Dear Fellow Reader,

Check out the new book Ashlynn's Dreams.

Jillian's normal life shatters the day she is kidnapped. She needs all of her stubborn will to learn her...

Excerpt from Hardcover Version

It's kinda funny in a mighty sad, awful sort of way. If Momma had known what we know today and not cared one whit about me, she coulda sold me for a lot of money. Maybe not enough to set her up for life, but she coulda at least collected a couple of million dollars. I feel funny saying that 'cause I don't want y'all to get the impression I view myself higher than I ought to. Caden Phillips probably came closest to summing things up, and he just said I was a freak. He was trying to be mean...

Reviews Needed

Hey all,

Sorry for my totally uninventive name. I probably should have set the thing up myself, but good help just ain't easy to find these days. Kidding. I will do my best to update this thingy, but I have a lousy track record with blogs.

What I need now is people to review the book on amazon and bn and the other online sites it is available at. The paperback is now available from amazon, though I couldn't find it at bn. Ebook is available both places. Encourage your library to buy the book...

Ashlynn’s Dreams

Jillian Marie Antel Blairington came about from a writing group story prompt: a cereal surprise. I liked the southern, no-nonsense child so much that I wrote a series of shorts about her. Then, last summer, I sat down to write a longer story and came out with Ashlynn’s Dreams. Low page count aside, it’s a book for all ages. The “target” audience may be pre-teen, but some of my proofreaders passed that stage before I was born.
