I don't really know what readers here would like to know about me or my stories, so I'll ask. What is it that you as readers like to see on a Goodreads author blog?

My page proofs for MIRACLE ROAD have arrived. I need to read the book one more time checking for typos and errors. This is my last chance to make any changes--that always makes me nervous. I won't read a book once it's been published because I CAN'T make changes then and it kills me!

MIRACLE ROAD comes out November 5. (If I could figure out how to post a picture of the page proofs, I'd do it, but looking at the html code makes me shudder. :)

So, I have know Mariah Stewart for a long time, since we both wrote for Pocket Books many moons ago. Up until today, I considered her a friend and a lovely woman.

Now, I know she's evil.

We were chatting on the phone this morning about our books (we both write small town contemporary romance for Ballantine) and then we talked about our families. She has a new grandson and I'm expecting my first grandchild--also a boy--next month. It was a lovely conversation.

Then, shortly after we hung up, the evil woman sent me the email. I open it to find a link to her favorite children's store. She urges me to look at the sale pages. Great quality! Great sale prices, she says.

It was bad. Very, very bad.

I think I'm going to LOVE being Nana. My pocketbook, not so much. And with friends like Mariah Stewart...sigh. ;)

But you should see this little romper with the tricycle on it...

I've just completed a website redesign and I welcome the Goodreads community to check it out!

The goal was to give readers the information they needed, make it easy to navigate, and pleasing to the eye. Do you think we managed that?
