The lessons of history
We learn from history how to do things the way they've always been done. It's predictable. Safe. But sometimes the lesson from history is that you should try something different. Taking a new path, is not without risk. The Archivist

We are alone
We are alone in the universe. There is no one but us. No one is coming to harm us or to save us. We live our lives sure in this knowledge. Of course some people think there are aliens or UFOs but we don't know and so these suspicions don't rule our lives.
If there was another planet with life, would you want to know? If you thought we could get there or they could come here, how would that knowledge shape our world? If we knew, could we shrug our shoulders and move on? Or would that info change everything?
That knowledge has been hidden, but the Archivist knows.

The Archivist
They say those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it.
But is knowledge always a good thing? If the archivist has knowledge, is he bound to share it? Can some information be more destructive than secrets?
It falls on my main character to weigh the consequences of his choice. Either choice carries dangers.

The Archivist Trilogy
After six years of work, my trilogy is 14 days away from a public release. It's very exciting.
Years ago I read a book that ended with a mass exit from Earth right before it exploded. That was it! Tha After six years of work, my trilogy is 14 days away from a public release. It's very exciting.
Years ago I read a book that ended with a mass exit from Earth right before it exploded. That was it! That's where the book ended! My reaction was "and then?"
I spent years thinking about what could happen. What kind of world would the colonists build? Would they simply rebuild Earth on another planet and eventually suffer the same fate? Or could they do it differently and what would that look like?
When I retired, I began to answer my questions.
Along the way I have had the help of many developmental editors, fellow writers at a Futurescape workshop, and multiple early readers. I appreciate all that help in bringing these books to fruition! ...more
